Get Involved
The USO of North Carolina is largely staffed by volunteers. If you would like to be involved as a USO Volunteer, please consider the descriptions given below.
Volunteers in each center serve three-hour (CLT) or four-hour (RDU) shifts. Duties in our centers may include checking ID badges, helping guests sign-in, solving flight issues at our airport centers, making sure guests feel at home.
Please click for details about volunteering in each center.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport Center
At this time our Charlotte center is unable to accept any additional applications. We appreciate your interest in supporting our center, and we do hope you will check back in the future.
Our Jacksonville volunteers keep our Jacksonville USO center a comfortable, clean, relaxing place for our
guests. Duties include managing the front desk, managing the snack bar, and generally making the guests feel at home.
Raleigh Durham International Airport Center
Our RDU volunteers serve four-hour shifts, usually once a week, in the USO at the airport.
Duties include managing the front desk, managing the kitchen, and generally making the guests feel at home.
Other opportunites for volunteer service are often available since our USO is involved in frequent outreach programs.
If you would like to volunteer with the USO of North Carolina, please submit a volunteer application.
