Mobile Unit Support Launched in early 2010, the USO of North Carolina's Mobile Unit enables us to take our support on the road. The unit travels around the state of North Carolina to support the troops at deployment and homecoming parties, community and military events, and special fundraisers. If needed, the Mobile Unit is also prepared to assist in state emergency response missions.
The mobile unit features two large flat-screen televisions mounted externally, a small internal television, a Direct TV satellite system, a DVD player, a Wii gaming system, and a gas grill. Additionally, four laptop computers with mobile internet and cell phone service via two state-of-the-art Droid phones.
