Smiles Over the Miles

A special service for families with deployed loved ones.

The USO of Jacksonville has created the Smiles over the Miles program to maintain the bond between a deployed service member and their family and help to alleviate the emotional strain of the deployment.On the first Thursday of each month, our Jacksonville Center hosts "Smiles Over the Miles." Families with deployed loved ones are invited to the USO for a free pizza party, complete with games and prizes for the kids. As part of the event, families may record a free DVD Video message which the USO will ship to the deployed service member at no cost to the family.
